Bring with youthe completed New HampshireDriver’s License Application form together with the other requirements, such as yourproof of identity and proof of residency.
You must pass aVision Testto qualify for a license. If you have not previously held a driver's license in New Hampshire, or any other state, must pass aKnowledge Test. Once you passthe knowledge test, aRoad Testwill be scheduled. Prior to the testing process, you will be required to pay yourlicense feeand have your picture taken.
The DMV will give you a 60-day, papertemporary license. Your permanent driver's license will be mailed to your New Hampshire mailing address within 60 days. If you are under 21 years old, you will be issued aYouth Operatorlicense which will expire on your 21st birthday.
