What is the Colorado Change of Address Form?

Form DR 2285, Change of Address, or the Colorado Change of Address Form, is a Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) form used by residents who want to update their vehicle address and voter information.

The DR 2285 form or Colorado DMV Change of Address form must be done in the county in which you formerly reside. Once completed the form is to be returned to any Colorado Driver’s License Office or it can be mailed to the following addresses:

When my change of address is complete, will the Colorado DMV mail me a new Driver’s License or registration card?

No. When you change your address, no new documents are issued. However, after you confirm that your address was successfully changed, you can get a replacement Driver’s License or a replacement registration card.
